Minecraft
Block game go BRRRRRRRR
So for all intents and purposes, I joined the Minecraft hype fairly late. I had played it sporadically on my X-box 360 growing up, but never got too into it.
However, in the past 5 years I have gotten into playing it on my laptop and have dove into the hobby voraciously.
Inspiration
Minecraft and many of its streamers served as a point of inspiration for me, especially during the pandemic of 2020 and onwards.
It actually was to the point I started worldbuilding a DnD setting heavily inspired by Minecraft and some of my favorite streamers. It was, and still is, a fun project to work on, though it has been some time since I worked on it last.
I need to remind myself that I am making this project for ME, so do not need to be fearful of the cringe of making a fan project. Fan projects are awesome, and I know that because I regularly seek them out. I just need to allow myself to write about "silly" things instead of only serious things.
Gameplay
I don't think I will share much here if I'm honest, as I plan in other spaces and across far too many platforms and mediums already, but I am in a shared world with my best friend. I'm usually the one most able to play but it's fun all the same.
I find I deeply enjoy building and puttering about larger scaled builds, though interior decorating is still a struggle for me. I love some aspects of material gathering but not so much how time consuming it can sometimes be. I also utilize villagers a LOT and enjoy getting materials from them and experience.
