Legacy is the theme of the era.

Wherever you turn, wherever you try to escape to, legacy looms in every aspect of our lives.

The more you learn of it, the more prominent it becomes.

What is my legacy, protagonists say, kids shows animated brightly with darker themes. What legacy do I leave with those around me?

Superhero movies, action, fight fight fight, rebellion: what is my legacy? It used to be BAM! and POW! but now the fighting is all I know: do I fight for good? Do I fight for good only when there is an audience? Is my legacy at large more important than the legacy i leave with those close to me; is there a difference, in the end?

What is your legacy, we cry to those in power. I will leave a legacy of power, most answer, but the treasured new say aid. Say kindness. Say deliberate action. Say thoughtfulness. We have seen the horrible legacies of those before us, around us, near us, and we will fight against it.

Historians have never been more distraught to be right, watching history repeat but seeing their cries to LISTEN and LEARN finally starting to be answered by those who feel they cannot act, to pain of all. Growing pains aren't called pleasures.

But the legacies of those in currently and previously in power, of drive for power, is better rephrased into greed. Selfishness. Carelessness. Apathy. Close mindedness. Separation.

My legacy will be powerful, not because i secure greater positions, not because i widen the scope of my impact, bUt because that impact will be beneficial to others in as many ways as i can manage, and the negative i will do my best to rectify and understand the severity of.

Legacy is the word of the age. Everyone pondering one, age old question: What legacy would you wish to leave?

And, the additional step the newer generations are taking: what can I do to make it that way?
